MANGO MOZZARELLA

Hey Lovers,

Okay as you know my favourite Spring/Summer dish is Tomatoes with Mozzarella. HERE I told you about my normal recipe of the delicious dish but I used different ingredients to make it more special.

Tonight I tried out something completely new. I have never made or even eaten it before.
A good friend of our family told me to  try this out. She absolutely loves Tomatoes with Mozzarella too but she had had it to often so she tried something different.

MANGO MOZZARELLA

You might think... WHAT? But actually it tastes soooo extremely good and I am a real fan of it now.

It is very simple and all you need is:

Mozzarella
Mango
Chili
Salt
Pepper
Olive Oil
Lemon Juice

Cut mango and  mozzarella as usual and arrange it on the plate.
For the dressing you use lemon juice instead of vinegar to give the whole meal a fresh taste. Mix lemon juice and olive oil as usual and add a bit of pepper and salt. Add as much chili as you like and pour the marinade over mango and mozzarella. Instead of fresh chili I used a chili-salt. Feel free to be a little bit creative and add the spices you like.

I had some dressing left so I made a small bowl with salad but actually I didn't like the dressing with salad that much. I think it is to spicy for a green salad.

I wish you all a good night and

LE JARDIN ET NOUVEAUTÉ

Hey Lovers,

Last weekend was the only beautiful day in a long time and guess what? It has been raining since then. The sun was shining and I got a few new things.

In the afternoon I prepared everything for the BBQ in the evening. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the yummy food but Summer hasn't even started so I am sure I'll get another chance to photograph a typical BBQ at Maison Maria. ;)

Okay let's start with what I got last weekend:

The first thing I got is a pair of shoes and OMG I am so in love with these. I have been looking at them since they arrived at my parents shop. These wedges are from the company Vic Matié, an Italian shoe manufacture. And of course they have a neon orange detail. I am so obsessed with the colour orange right now. It always used to be my favourite colour when I was a little child and now I like it again very much. :)

I went to the drugstore and got a few things I really needed and as always I couldn't resist getting some goodies. I stopped at the ESSIE counter and got a orange nail polish with a hint of red in it.
The colour is called CAPRI and I love the island Capri very much. It is extremely beautiful there.

The next beauty related idiom I got is an eyeshadow from the company GOSH, which I really wanted to try out for a very long time. The company came out in Austria last fall I think, but I am not sure. I actually own one product of them, a velvet lip primer, which I never use, not because it isn't a good product, but I am too lazy to use 500 products in the morning.
Anyways I got the eyeshadow in the colour BROWN.

The eyeshadow has a warm undertone and a few sparkles in it. I think it is the perfect everyday colour because it can be used on its own. Apply it all over the lid and blend it away to create a soft shade and build the colour in the crease. Blend everything well together and you have a beautiful and little edgy everyday look.

This is how the colour looks blended away.
It would also look very good mixed with a lighter or even a darker colour.
The pigmentation of the product is also very good.
I used the eyeshadow the following week and noticed that without a primer underneath it'll smudge away easily.
But with a good primer it is a good eyeshadow.
The thing I like the most is of course the colour.

As the weather was so nice I went out and took some pictures of our beautiful garden. I love to be in nature and I love flowers. We have a lovely rockery. As child I used to play with all the stones and I even built little houses for my barbies and little dolls. But I also liked to climb onto the bigger stones or play football with my friends.

We have a lot of fruit trees and shrubs. We also have red and black currants in the early summer. I absolutely love the juice and even more I like the yummy jam that we make out of them. Here you can see red currants in the middle of Spring. They are still green but I am looking forward to eat them.

I wore simple black jeans, a jeans-shirt and coral-pink nail-polish that day.
I absolutely love to be barefoot. To me it is a sign of freedom and it makes me happy. Also it is good for your health.

I hope the sun will be up in Austria soon an that Summer returns again. I am sick of wearing thick jackets and Hunters - although they are pretty stylish - and I am sick to freeze all the time.
The only good thing this weather brings with it is that nature is able to regenerate a little bit.
The glaciers won't melt as soon as they would if there was extremely hot weather.
The wood will grow fast and there might be new springs.

Anyways, I wish you all a nice evening and

FAVOURITE SPRING/SUMMER DISH

Hello Lovers!

I know it's been a while and I also know that I am lazy these days.

Anyways, sorry for that.

My favourite dish for Spring and Summer is the simplest meal ever.

TOMATOES WITH MOZZARELLA

I simply love it. It is always extremely delicious, refreshing and so easy to prepare.

Sometimes I am a real genius and I mix avocado or something else with the main ingredients.

All you need is:

Mozzarella
Tomatoes
Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar
Fresh or Dried Herbs
Salt
Pepper

Today I added one avocado and took instead of the normal mozzarella one burrata. Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese, made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella while the inside contains both mozzarella and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture, which I really like.

I also cut one yellow paprika and a couple radish.

Wish you all a beautiful afternoon and evening!

INSPIRE ME: SPRINGTIME - FLOWERS, SUN, LOVE

Hello Lovers!

This post is another Inspiration-Post.

I love to take a look at pictures to get inspired. This month I looked at pictures of flowers, tanned girls and refreshing drinks and meals the most. I don't know why but maybe it's because Spring is coming soon.

Here in Austria we still have snow. To be honest normally I hate Spring because I usually always get ill at this season, everything is muddy and dirty and I hate that I never really know what I should wear in Spring because it's very cold in the morning and during the day it gets warmer and warmer and you'll get really hot and then I usually catch a cold.

All in all this year I'm really looking forward to the Spring. I don't know why but yes I DO!

I'm not sick of the snow that's laying on mother earth here because I really like the world cover in white but I'm really looking forward to wear all those beautiful Spring and Summer clothes, to see, pick and arrange all the beautiful flowers, to hear the birds sing, to cook more light meals and eat them outside in the warming sun, to drink cold cocktails or ice tea with my lovely friends out in the evening sun, to get tanned, to smell this typical "Oh-It's-Spring-Smell" and to be in the awesome Spring-Mood.

Anyways, Iw as very inspired by all the following pictures:

Blue skies and sun...

I'm really looking forward to have drinks or to have dinner with my friends and my boyfriend and of course to get tanned on my lovely rooftop-terrace!

OMG, this looks so delicious, light and refreshing!
Definitely trying out a salad like this...

My current background of my laptop. This is my favourite flower-picture at the moment.

I  can't wait to wear summer hats!

Such a cute dress...

Loved this picture of the girl wearing a beautiful flower wreath.

I found this picture of Kristina Bazan from www.kayture.com
I think this is one of the most beautiful pictures of her.
She's such an inspiration.

I just loved this cup of tea and the cute little flowers in it. I also liked the glamourous and very vintage looking tea set.
